EveryTile app icon

EveryTile

Everything open, one double-tap away.

Double-tap Shift and a glass overlay lays out your apps, windows, browser tabs, recent folders and files, and collections of your own. Click one to go straight there, or just start typing.

EveryTile is included in my Surprisingly Useful Bundle, along with over twenty other apps.

The EveryTile overlay over the desktop: an Apps tile of running apps followed by recent ones in gray, a Reading collection of site icons, Recent Folders, Finder favorites and a Projects collection, with Main, Work and Demo tile sets beside the search field
⇧

One double-tap

Tap Shift twice, or press your own shortcut, from any app. Everything you have open appears at once over whatever you were doing, and Esc puts it away.

↗

Jump straight there

Click a window to raise it, a browser tab to switch to it in Safari, Chrome, Brave, Edge or Vivaldi, or a folder to open it in Finder. Recent apps you’ve quit wait in gray, one click from relaunching.

⌕

Search across everything

Start typing and every tile filters together: apps, windows, tabs, folders, files and your collections. Arrow to the one you want and press Return.

▦

Arrange it your way

Hold a tile to drag it somewhere else, and drag its corner to resize it. Keep tile sets for work and home, and switch with ⌃Tab or ⌘1–9.

★

Collections of your own

Pin the folders, files, apps and links you keep coming back to. Or have a collection mirror a folder, a Finder smart folder or a bookmarks folder and keep itself up to date.

◐

At home on your Mac

Liquid Glass tiles that follow light and dark mode, Spotlight under the hood for recent files and folders, and eleven languages.

Typing “chop” filters every tile at once: the ChopShop app, two ChopShop folders under Recent Folders, a mirrored projects folder and a smart folder of documents
The plus menu: New Collection opens a submenu of ways to start one, from blank or files to a synced bookmarks folder, a mirrored folder or a smart folder, above a list of tiles to add to the current set
