Six sounds, made live
Every sound is generated as it plays, not looped from a recording, so there’s never a seam to catch your ear. Ocean waves vary in length, and each ear hears its own stream.
Tune the tone
Slide from dark to bright to take the hiss off any sound, with volume right beside it. NiceNoise remembers your sound and settings for next time.
A timer that fades
Set a sleep timer from fifteen minutes to two hours. The last minute fades out gently instead of cutting off, so the silence doesn’t wake you.
Out of the way
Click the menu bar icon for the controls, or right-click it to play and pause without opening anything. Prefer a Dock icon and a window? Switch with one click.
Smooth all the way
Switching sounds, pausing and moving the sliders all fade rather than click, and playback follows you when you plug in or unplug headphones.
Private by design
No account, no analytics, no tracking. The sound is made on your Mac, and NiceNoise asks for no permissions at all.
