GlanceUp Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 November 2026

GlanceUp is made by Ben Dansby. This policy covers the Mac app.

The short version

What you put on GlanceUp’s shelf stays on your Mac. It has no analytics, no telemetry, no account and no identifier, and it sends nothing you’ve dropped or pasted anywhere.

What GlanceUp keeps

None of this is transmitted.

When GlanceUp uses the network

Only for these, and none carries anything from your shelf:

Opening a link or a file from the shelf hands it to your default browser or app; GlanceUp doesn’t fetch it.

Permissions

GlanceUp asks for none. It reads only what you drop or paste onto it, and the files you choose to save a copy to. No screen recording, Accessibility, contacts, camera or microphone.

Children

GlanceUp is a file utility. It is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date.
