macOS 13 Ventura or later · Universal (Apple Silicon & Intel)
What it does
Always a keystroke away
A global hotkey pops the picker over whatever you're doing. Press it again to tuck it away. Grab a file and get back to work.
Full browser, or a tiny one
Expand to a full three-column window when you're exploring, or collapse to a one-column mini browser when you just need a file fast.
Drag files in and out
Drop files into Mail, Slack, anywhere. Drag files (or Safari images, text clippings, links) onto a folder to drop them there. Hover a folder mid-drag and it springs open so you can keep going.
- Popover or floating window. Anchored to the menu bar or free-floating wherever you want it.
- Three view modes, plus mini. Icons (with real thumbnails), list, Finder-style columns, and a tight one-column mini layout.
- Multi-select with ⌘ and ⇧. Drag any selected file and the whole pick comes along.
- Spring-loaded folders. Hold a drag over a folder (or a previous column) and it opens — walk a drag through the file system without releasing.
- Sort by anything. Name, Date Modified, Date Added, Size, or Kind, ascending or descending.
- Inspector built in. Thumbnail, dimensions, size, and date at a glance.
- Finder favorites, in sync. Mirror your Finder sidebar, or pin your own. Drop a file onto any sidebar folder to send it there.
- Smart Recents. Everything you've actually touched, across every folder.
- Go to folder… ⌘⇧G opens a path field with autocomplete and a shared history (yours and Finder's).
- Quick Look, inline. Hit space to preview any file.
- Right-click power. Reveal in Finder, Copy Path, Open Terminal Here.
filepopCLI. Open the picker from any terminal.
