PhotoPop
Pop open your whole Photos library from the menu bar — browse every album (and any folder you pin), drag photos in and out of any app, rotate and edit them in place, and search by subject, text, or place.

What it does
Your library in the menu bar
Summon PhotoPop with a hotkey (⌃⌥⌘I) and your whole library is right there — All Photos, Favorites, Recents, Screenshots, Videos, and every album — in a fast, live-thumbnail grid.
Drag in, drag out
Drag any photo straight out to Finder, Mail, Messages, or a document — it copies by default, hold ⌥ to move it instead, so nothing quietly disappears from where it was. Drop images from anywhere back in and they land in your library, or the album or folder you dropped them on.
Search what's in the shot
On-device Vision indexes scene labels and the text inside your photos, so you can find receipt, beach, or whiteboard — not just by date. No image or recognized text ever leaves your Mac.
Search by place name
Switch it on and Kyoto or Big Sur finds the shots you took there. Photos only store raw coordinates, so PhotoPop asks Apple's geocoder for the names — coordinates only, never your photos — and caches them locally. Off by default; turning it off deletes what it looked up.
Rotate & edit, saved back
Rotate any photo right in place. Or — in the direct download — open a photo in Preview or any image editor and whatever you save there flows back into your Photos library as a non-destructive edit.
Pin your own folders
Add any folder from your Mac and it shows up right in the sidebar, browsed the exact same way — filtered down to just the images, videos, and subfolders inside. Rotate, Quick Look, and Move to Trash all work on files there too, with the same undo safety net as everywhere else in PhotoPop.
