A cursor only you can see.
GhostCursor replaces your pointer with a highlight ring you can see on screen — but that never shows up in a screen recording. It’s a little free gift from the Surprisingly Useful family of Mac apps.
macOS 13 Ventura or later · Apple Silicon & Intel · Free, no license
One keystroke
Hit ⌃⌥⌘C and your system cursor disappears — a crisp highlight ring takes its place and follows the mouse. Hit it again to bring the normal pointer back.
Invisible to recorders
The ring lives in a non-shareable window, so it’s excluded from every screen recorder and screen-share — QuickTime, Zoom, Teams, the lot. Viewers never see it.
Stays hidden under capture
macOS tries to force the cursor back the instant a recording starts. GhostCursor re-hides it many times a second, so it stays gone for the whole take.
