FontPop is made by Ben Dansby. This policy covers the Mac app.
FontPop collects nothing about you. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no account, and no identifier. Your fonts, your sample text and your pins never leave your Mac.
Everything FontPop knows: which fonts are installed, the sample text you typed, the fonts you pinned, and your settings. These live in your local preferences and are never transmitted.
Three times, all of them optional and none of them carrying anything about you:
bendansby.com. This is a plain file request — no query about you, no identifier.bendansby.com for its update feed. That request carries your app version and macOS version, which is what any updater needs to answer the question.Fonts fetched for preview are cached in ~/Library/Application Support/FontPop/ and never installed into your system.
If you buy a license, activating it sends your license key to Lemon Squeezy, who handle the purchase and validation. Their handling is covered by the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy. FontPop stores the resulting receipt locally. If you never buy a license, this never happens.
FontPop requests no system permissions. It has no need for screen recording, accessibility, files, contacts, camera or microphone, and it asks for none of them.
FontPop is a utility for people who work with type. It is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date. Since FontPop collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification.
